I am Dr Saibal Moitra an allergist and immunologist based in Kolkata, India. I am Adjunct Professor and Senior Consultant in the department of Allergy & Immunology at Apollo Gleneagles Hospital, Kolkata. I am also the Medical Director of Allergy Asthma Treatment Centre, Kolkata( now known as NCD Immunomedicare Pvt Ltd).I had completed my MBBS from Maulana Azad Medical College, University of Delhi with distinction in 1997. Thereafter I did my MD in Respiratory Medicine from Vallabhbhai Patel Chest Institute, University of Delhi in 2001. My further advanced training was at University of London, where I started my work in the field of respiratory allergy. I returned to India to join University of Calcutta and continued my work on allergy to tropical pollen grains at Cellular and Molecular Immunology Laboratory of Calcutta School of Tropical Medicine, Kolkata which resulted in obtaining a PhD in Physiology ( Immunology) from University of Calcutta.
